Time for Granada!
DISCOVER MOTRIL, THE PORT OF THE ALHAMBRA
We will drive from Motril, 0 metres above the sea level, to Granada, 800 metres above the sea level, in just 35 minutes, through an ancient Arab road that is currently a highway. In our tour we will see cliffs and natural steps between water and mountains.
We will enjoy a panoramic view of the Sierra Nevada and we will see on its hillsides La Alpujarra on one side and the Valle de Lecrín on the other side, where there are several places with a typical Andalusian flavour.
Granada is one of the most important cities in the world for its history and culture. It offers many interesting places to visit, including the Alhambra Palace, the most visited place of interest in Spain.
Motril enjoys an exceptional micro-climate with 320 days of annual sunshine and a mean annual temperature of 20°C that permits to enjoy its maximum-quality-awarded beaches throughout the year.
In a bunch of minutes we can reach a wide range of welcoming and enchanting places from Motril, and we can enjoy the area’s rich gastronomy too: we can see a breathtaking landscape of Las Alpujarras, lovely villages such as Lanjarón, Órgiva, Pampaneira, Bubión or Trevélez, each one of them has important gastronomic traditions. Closer to the Port we can find coastal towns such as Salobreña and Almuñécar, where we can find a remarkable number of wineries that produce modern internationally-awarded wines. In this area we can find wonderful beaches, many of them still wild.
Motril is a complete tourist destination: it has a millennium-old culture based on the production of sugar, a wide sports offer on land, sea, air and snow, and an exquisite gastronomy based on tropical fruits, fish and seafood.
